Worship & Praying
At All Hallows we share in worship at our Sunday services, our Wednesday Communion Service and in our housegroups.
Daily prayer belongs to the people of God and everyone is welcome to join us in the prayer space in Church for:
- Morning prayer at 7.15 am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
- Evening prayer on Wednesday at 7.15 pm.
We have just completed our prayer space, which offers a wonderful place to pray quietly and to share personal time with God. There is a Celtic cross in the prayer space for people who wish to write the names/needs for prayer or thanksgivings; you may also leave names/requests on the table and we will pray for the situation or person named.
We have, on our website a prayer wall. Adding a prayer here shares it with our community and allows many of us to pray with you. Please feel free to add as much or as little as you like.
Every seven weeks we rest from church business meetings and the churches in our Team Ministry gather for a time of worship, prayer and fellowship. Details can be found on the home page on our weekly calendar. Do join us; this is a good way of meeting people from all three churches, enjoying God and each other's company.
A Healing Service with laying on of hands for prayer takes place on occasional Sunday evenings. See our weekly calendar on the home page. There is also the opportunity for healing prayer ministry after most main services, in the prayer space.
We are always looking for ways to enhance the prayer life of the church, so please share any thoughts or ideas you have. Please feel free to contact Tina, our ordained local minister, who can be contacted using the links on the right-hand side of this page.
Here, on this page, you will also find a seasonal hymn prayer to include in your personal prayers and worship.
Spirit divine, attend our prayers
and make this house your home;
descend with all your gracious powers
O come, great Spirit, come.
Come as the light: to us reveal
our emptiness and woe
and lead us in those paths of life
where all the righteous go.
Come as the fire; and purge our hearts
like sacrificial flame ;
let our whole life an offering be
to our Redeemer's name.
Come as the dove; and spread your wings,
the wings of peaceful love;
and let your church on earth become
blest as the church above.
Spirit divine, attend our prayers;
make this lost world your home;
descend with all your gracious powers;
O come, great Spirit, come.
